SPACE-CONSTRAINED ENGINEERING

DESIGNED AROUND YOUR ENVELOPE / 01

Ultra-flat pancake motors.
For space-constrained engineering.

Pancake motor solutions for space-constrained engineering. Start with thickness, diameter and torque. Build from a magnetic assembly to a complete motion package.

The drawing comes first

The motor is only as thin
as the assembly around it.

End turns, bearings, cable bends and feedback hardware all consume axial space. Define the complete installed envelope before choosing an electromagnetic layout.

Three decisions before a motor quotation

Does pancake mean axial flux?

Pancake describes a short, wide form factor. The electromagnetic architecture can vary. Begin with installed depth, available diameter and torque-speed duty before selecting a topology.

Is the thinnest motor always the best fit?

No. Bearings, encoders, cooling and cable exits determine the complete package. A slightly deeper motor can sometimes produce a simpler installed assembly.

What information makes an inquiry actionable?

Share maximum installed thickness, maximum outer diameter, minimum clear bore, continuous and peak torque, speed, voltage, duty cycle and a drawing or controlled CAD link.
